I'm looking into buying a '96 Cavalier, and according to the seller the headlights won't turn on. Any clue what could be wrong and/or how to find out what's wrong? thanks

well you could pull a bulb then turn on the headlights and use a volt meater to see if theres power to the socket. and check the fuses for yourself incase hes looking at the wrong one or somthing

I found out on MSN Autos that the '96 Cavalier has problems with the wiring harness and it's really cheap to replace, but still, is there a way to check the harness or is it just replace and hope it works? if it does that would be great because according to MSN Autos it's only like $10 - $15 for the harness.

My car has had a lot of problems including my headlights going dim for no reason...there IS a recall on the wiring harness that goes to the battery on '96 cavaliers. That could be part of your problem. If that is what it is then the chevy dealerships are required to fix it for free.

Hello, I have a '96 Cavalier 2.4L, and my "Check Oil" Lamp is ON, and I want to know How to Reset it, or what it means, because the Car is in Great condition, that's not a problem, so when I turn ON the car stays ON the light, and if I turn OFF the car and immediatly turn ON the car the Light comes OFF. Can anyone could help me with this, Please. I've replaced the Oil Pressure Switch, and the Oil with its Filter. I'm From Mexico, so Sorry about my English. Thanks!! oohh, I'll do too the thing with the Gas Pedal, and nothing. I have many years with this Light Problem.
