Hi Everyone have a quick ? I just got a 07 LT3 avalanche and i am having a really hard time getting my gate remotes programmed into the universal home remote. It appears that they used a different system rather than the one that HomeLink makes. I followed the instructions and have had no luck getting it to work. anyone else have any experience with this?

Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if this applies to the 03's, but in the 07's there are actually 2 different brands/types of transmitters that require very different programming for each.  Hopefully someone else here will know first hand.  Good luck

I have a 07 LTZ3 also and having trouble with the home link remote, there are several remote systems out now with rolling codes and if you get you HLR to work on one it will not work on other systems. (with out erasing your old codes)
I have 2 identical craftsman 1/2 horse garage door openers and it will not work on both doors, either one or the other.

Does your 3 button system have one light or 3 green LED's one above each button.

The single red LED system is the JCI Homelink and the 3 green LED system is the newer Lear Car2U system, they have two different methods of learning just in case you didn't see that in your instructions.

If you have trouble and you have followed the instructions then call them for further assistance some systems require special proceedures:

JCI Homelink's  help-line is 1-800-355-3515 and website is www.homelink.com.

Lear's Car2U help-line is 1-866-572-2728 and website is www.learcar2u.com
