My sister has a 2004 chevy cavilier with 45,000 miles on it. Never been in an accident or anything with it, just drives it to work everyday. Car fairly recently had new brakes and a fuel pump which was about $1500. Today the piece of **** died with 45,000 miles on it and has now over $2,500 in repairs. For anyone who onwns a chevy, wants a chevy, or works for chevy these cars are a piece of ****. Actually all American cars are a piece of **** and I hope all of these US made car dealers all go outta business cause of these **** products they produce. Actually about half of the plants already shut down, so everyone that wants a reliable car basically just buy a Toyota or Honda.

What kind of repairs does it need?

My '98 has over 116,000 miles and has never had a problem. Don't assume all Chevy's are bad.

I think I would agree with the rest of you. I would also like to point out again what rodfoster said. All machines have problems. I will also say almost any car has the potential to be a good car if taken care of properly.
