Hi, I am having problems with my back up lights. When I put the truck into reverse, the lights do not come on. I checked them with a meter and I am getting no power. I checked the wiring harness and I couldn't see anything. The wire that leads into the back up lights is a lime greenish color. I have had a lot of problems with the rear wiring harness in the past. I had to run a new ground to get the break lights to work. I have seen that posted a few times before on this forum, but not this issue.

hello, i'd check the fueses first, its most likely the neutral safty switch, the back up lights come on only when in reverse i would also suggest the haynes manual for your year truck, it has a full picture of the switch location on page7b3 1982-93 manual and 7b4 1994-2004
