Trying to get some help.  Got an 87 caprice that I'm working on and has added a 97 lt1 engine and tranny and now trying upgrade rear end and rear brake set up.  Does anyone have any info on what rear would fit that has disc brake set-up.  Is there a brake conversion kit I can get if I wanted to stay with the same rear end.

I know the rear form impalas do. but Ive heard of people using s10 posi rears aswell. I think they do sell disc brake kits if you want to stay with your rear end. I know I prolly didnt help any but at least you know someone is out here listening. lol

i know this is an old thread but S10 rear ends would not be any stronger than a caprice rear end.  Also, the differential in an S10 would not necessarily have the same ratio as your caprice.  I'm sure i've seen conversion kits for disc brakes but i can't remember where.

Just try searching the web if ya haven't gotten it taken care of.  good luck!  I'd love to see how it turns out
