Hello all, I just got my new 2500 HD and I would like to beef up the motor. Its has the 6.0L and I have already put on a true flow intake kit. Is there anything else I can do to get some more power?

Those 6.0s are beasts! My buddy jesse had one an 07 classic with the LQ9 345 horse 380ftlbs 6.0. He threw a Hypertech chip and programmer in, i cut the muffler out and welded in a 3 inch diameter straight pipe in place of it. That thing had BARK when he put the CAI from volant in, that truck became almost twice as loud. Believe it or not, with a 3300 pound stock car on a 1800 pound trailer, 350-400 pounds of tools, plus passengers that truck was passing other trucks up hill and even without trailers on the back.
I know the cams in those 6.0s dont kick in till 4600, so when we shut the rev limiter off in jesses truck that thing would really go!

One of the guys at the shop where i work on the stock cars at has a brand new 07 that i straight piped for him and he says it feels like a whole different truck, he says it feels like it has much better throttle response along with more torque since he tows frequently. those stock mufflers 1 are highly restrictive 2 heavy *must weigh 60-80 pounds*

Hey thanks for the ideas... I am going to be getting a superchips programmer soon so hopefully that will help and yea ive noticed that the power band of the 6.0 isnt untill 4500 rpm.  Next year I hoping to get either a magnaflow or gibson dual cat-back system.  Any thoughts would be helpfull
