say, I am right now with dirty hands working on my daughter's Saturn, a 97 4-cylinder. It is missing so I got all the stuff to tune it up. When I pulled the first plug wire, the tube was 2 inches deep with oil. I am thinking it must be a cracked or broken ring; do you agree? What a way to start the day. Thanks for the reply; I noticed you have a Saturn so I thought I'd ask.

Gave it some more thought. I think the gasket on the tube must be leaking a bit of oil because any that got into the cylinder from a cracked ring would be burned up and pushed out the exhaust valves.

Actually just the first. I have gotten some responses from other bloggers that the cam cover is leaking. There are O rings on the tubes. I am going to see it again Thursday and replace the plugs and the cover if necessary.
