get a measuring tape and measure the wheel well (length, height from axle, depth). That should help you figure out the turning ratio you can have with the tires.

On my 07 2500 HD I have LT265-75R-16s and thats only leaving about an inch of clearence to the front fender. Also if you looking for mudders I would go with a BF Goodrich Mud Terrains or even the All Terrains

I'm looking to get the biggest tires for an 06 2500 diesel. My brother in law said there was actually something you can tighten to raise it up an inch or two?

Thanks

Pretty sure he is talking about the torsion bars.
As far as brand of tire you put that will be preferrence. I had mud tires on my old toyota and they were dunlp mud rovers. those tires were insane. they took abuse and many miles and were really good. I have bfg all terrains now and hate them. a friend has there mud terrains and loves them. I am now partial tot he pro-comp tire line. Cooper discoveries are good as are the toyos
