Bypass Ambient light sensor ?? - 5/24/2007 8:18:26 AM    jiggsy Posts: 29 Joined: 3/30/2007 Status: offline I was wondering if I can bypass the ambient light sensor to prevent my lights turning on by themselves. I go to a campground in the summer months and it's quite annoying to not be able to use just the parking lights. Any ideas ? 2000 Silverado 4.8L 4X4 Post #: 1

RE: Bypass Ambient light sensor ?? - 5/24/2007 3:17:11 PM    ZX1100F1 Posts: 2429 Joined: 8/1/2006 Status: offline Unplug the ambient light sensor and put a 1 ohm resistor in place of the sensor. The resistor will command the TBCM to turn the auto headlamps off. The headlights will now have to be manually turned on with the headlight switch.
