David802 -> 1990 chevy Cavalier Master Clutch problem (5/17/2006 5:40:51 PM)

ok, here is the deal...

I have a 1990 chevy cavalier, manual, and I think its got a master clutch cylinder problem..heres what it does.

as long as I keep dot 3 brake fluid (what it says on the cap of the masterclutch cylinder) in it, the car runs like a champ, but every ounce in a wile, the clutch will get really mushy and soft, (almost to the point you can push it with one finger,) and it wont shift out of neutral.

anybody know anything about this, is it a big deal, is it hard to fix, and if so can some one tell me how to fix it...

Thanks in advance David
