I am new to posting stuff on the web.  I found some problems with my 04 Silverado 1500.  The truck brakes poorly and the steering column has a knock in it.  It seems to be getting worse.  I read a lot about the steering problem, but nothing about poor braking.  I am thinking about installing some slotted or cross drilled rotors and using a higher grade pad.  Is it worth doing?  Also when I was looking for rotors the store told me the back rotors were way more money than the fronts.  Is there a reason for that?

I am going to call the dealer about the steering column problem.  Perhaps GM has decided to pony up.  I'll be in touch.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Chevrolet Extended Warranty - Are you covered?
Are your other GM vehicles covered with a General Motors Protection Plan (GMPP)?
