I am considering putting a new model 4 speed autonatic in my 76 3/4 ton. It currently has a 350 Turbo. What tranny should I use and how much trouble is it to make the electronics work on a non computer vehicle. I am new to this forum and couldnt find a transmission section, so if this is the wrong forum please point me in the right direction.

it is really hard, and not really worth it, a TH400 is a good tranny for general use, what are you going with it? is it 4x4?

It is a 2 wheel drive truck. I want to restore it to pull a trailor or haul things as needed. I would like the benefit of having an overdrive. I am not a big fan of the 700 R4. I have had several of them go bad and end up replacing with a 350 turbo.
