i have a new style (1989 58cc open chamber) 305 set of heads, i cannot STAND the way a new style set of heads' valve covers look, but i enjoy the way the older engines valve covers look.  My question is, even tho these are center bolt heads, and older valve covers run 4 bolts down the sides of the head, can i have the heads drilled on the corners to bolt up older style valve covers,  OR will there be a clearance of the valves issue, or will it not properly seal?   I got less than a month to have this done, so any help will be greatly apprieciated.

check around i think there is i a kit that you can get to put the old style covers on there, and have enough clearence. And if not, if you are metal shaping inclined, make a plate that bolts up to the center bolt, then you can put older style covers on it, use like steel on aluminum plate.

hope this helps some what
