New to the Forum. Tired of paying $80.00/hour. My right side daytime running light is burned out. How do I replace? I tried unscrewing the grill and going in from the front with no luck. Should I remove battery and reach in from the back of the fixture? Thanks for the help.

In a 99 Suburban, don't the low beam headlamps double as the daytime running lamps?

I think so. I know the my brights work when I click the lever near the steering wheel. The lights below I think are for fog and they do unscrew from the front. Thanks

Yeah the daytimes are the reg running lights, you have to get at the bulb from behind the battery. So you may (trying to recall) have to remove the battery just to get the thing popped out to replace the bulb. It's a rather pain in the ass to change that ONE bulb but thats how you get at it.

On the 99 Suburban, the low beam headlights are used as Daytime Running Lights. Starting with the 2000 models, the Daytime Running lights are separate from the headlights. For the 1999 model do the following. Open the hood. There are two bolts holding the light assembly. Remove those two bolts, using either a 1/4 or 5/16 socket, and the light assembly will come out, which will allow you to access the bulb.
