Im looking to get a 383 stroker.  The zz383 is about 5K everywhere I look and buying a block with all the necessary kits will run about $3,200 give or take w/o shipping.  Can anyone tell me where I can find a cheaper crate or block/kits for cheaper (crate prefered).  I want quality of course, but Im on a budget and 3,500 is about the max I can go.  Any help would be great.  thanks

i would honestly build my own, find a block, the go to an auto parts store like checker, o'rileyauto parts, or autozone. and get the build kits. i just built a 383 for about 2000 for a guy, that was the whole motor besides the headers
