vehicle : 01 silverado 1500 4.8L

what other chevy/gm ECU are interchangable with my truck?

You cannot interchange the ECU. If you took one out of an idential truck it should be okay, but I'm not sure if they have any control over the tranny or not. If they do you would have to make sure they are the tranny and geared the same and may have to get it reprogrammed.
