The ticking noise you here when you use your blinker or flashers keeps ticking and wont stop, my flashers work fine and so do both blinkers I have found when I press my flasher button all the way down the noise stops or when i jiggle it a little but when i use the blinker or turn or hit a bump it starts again. any clue on my problem? when its ticking nothing is flashing on the dash to indicate what it is either

on a side note:
My dealer here in cape girardeau missouri coad chevrolet wants $40 dollars to just tell me what they would charge me to fix the problem- in turn causing me to buy my new 07 silverado an hour away from cape. I hate the chevrolet dealers here

Lets see... On my Malibu there was the same situation where you could hear an intermittent clicking sound of the flashers or blinkers  which turned out to be the multifunction switch stalk.

There was also a recall program a while ago regarding the hazard switch being replaced on some vehicles.... unsure if the trucks were part of it.

Probably a faulty flasher or multifunction switch in the column.

Is there still that great place to eat just down the road from you (catfish, rabbit hushpuppies etc?) can;t recall the name of it though.
Years ago when I was in the Navy I had navigation training up at Scott AFB and we'd drive down there just for a good home-style meal.

I had this same problem in my 1997 Silverado.  The ticking would never stop - I replaced my relay thinking it was bad and it did nothing.  Drove me crazy - finally figured it out - exactly what ZX1100F1 said - the multifunction switch had went bad.  Replaced it and no problem.  Get your checkbook out - OEM part was $380.  Installed it after work in about 2 hours - wasn't too bad.
