some newer GM models (mine has it) has XM factory installed in the deck, just use the band button, if yours does this is a module that will let you change from XM to sirius.....TRUST ME in Canada the XM reception is **** and after months of complaining someone came out with this, it plugs into the back of your factory deck and changes SM to sirius...Im guessing your car does not have XM or you prolly would not be looking for Sat radio....anyhow that is what this unit is for

Maxx... As always thanks for your reply.... My radio did not come with XM. It does however have the band button. Do you think I will be able to simply plug in that module? Any suggestions?

you may be able to, from what i understand they radio has it in them all, just needs activated, if not see if you can upgrade the version of the radio form a wrecked Malibu (swap yours for a newer one that has XM in it)....if you can do that then you get xM factory and no wires, plus afte the XM, sirius merge you get Both, or whatever happens
