Here's the scenario to date: Wife's rig takes anywhere from one try top 40 tries to start, worse after warm up generally. New fuel pump, sending unit, moved dist one tooth back on advice from a forum(seems to have helpled some), SES light on most of the time(have to harvest codes). To start sometimes it is better to hold pedal to the floor and then it fires, other times will just fire up on 1st or 10th try. Does not seem to be a pattern. Starter is now on it's way out with all the tries. Ideas and methods to troubleshoot this.

This reminds me of our Blazer hard starts. Turned out to be the central port injection unit was bad. Remove upper plenum to see cpi unit-looks like a spider-fuel pressure regulator is built into it. Should be black inside from carbon. If you see black areas and some very clean areas the cpi has been leaking and the gas cleaned those areas. This is a very costly part however replace unit and should correct problem. Worked for us. Good luck.

If you have engine codes invest a few $ in a code reader, from what I’ve read the 1995 Blazer s10 is OBD II compliant. The codes can go a long ways in trouble shooting problems.
