Hi my husband just bought a 96 silverado, which is an american import, (we live in Oz) and i wondered if we replaced the stock radio does that affect the warning chimes or anything, or can we just pull the old one out and replace it? any help would be great as i don't want to pull his car apart to find i have broken something LOL thanks alison

you can just replace it if you can find one you can buy a wiring harnice that plugs into the factory harnice then you dont have to cut the factory wires. and better if you want to put the factrory radio back in.
