Has anybody who owns an 07 Avalanche had any water intrusion into the cab (Through the midgate) from the truck bed or rear window?

I love the function and look of the avalanche and just wondered if this type of water leak is a problem.

well i did on my 07 avalanche... make sure the midgate is shut tight... give it a good slam... cause that was the problem with mine... also check the seals... make sure they are not folded down or bent...

I had an '02 Avalanche for a little over five years, and now have a new '07 (about a month).  The only time I had a problem with the '02--and it was minor and mostly in the bed and not the cab--was if I didn't keep the bed area and around the bed covers clean.  There are drains and seals and such that tend to accumulate dirt if you actually use the truck as a truck once in a while.  But if I swept and vacuumed the drains and midgate area once in a while and cleaned the drains around the bed covers I had no problems.  The '07 is too new to tell really (although we're supposed to get a monsoon tonight so it will get a good test).

Thanks for the replies.  Keep em coming.

I am not too concerned about a little water getting into the bed area -  the midgate seal to the cab is the main thing I am worried about.  The 07 I looked at appeared to be pretty well sealed, but I did not fill the bed with water to test it.
