Hi all
Just signed up here so be patient with me.
Here is my story

97 suburban Bought in 2001 with 70k
no probs til fuel pump went out in 2003.
Second pump went out exactly 13 months later
steering was funny so I replaced front tires 6-2006
still funny so I tried to have aligned, they told me lower ball joints.
I went home replaced the ball joints, pitman arm, idler arm, and the 4 tie-rods
Than brought it up to be aligned. Still steers funny. Guys at the alignment place (Good Year) told me it was the roads.
They asked me if when in the right lane it pulls to the right (Yep)
And when in the left lane pulls to the left (Slightly)
Said it was normal, Wife refuses to drive truck, says she cant stand to constantly watch the road (very funny if you ask me)
Another autoshop thought maybe shocks. So I replaced all four.
I have 200k on it now at december when I was doing the work.

2 weeks ago started it up, about 2 gallons of oil immediatly went to my driveway.
Called in http://www.ryanengineexchangemn.com/ they replaced my motor and leaky radiator for $3800

Still have bad steering, replaced brake pads, rotors, drums and shoes. Still shaky

I also have another issue. Brakes
The ABS system kicks in when braking
I can be going 5 or 90 mph, I apply the brakes to come to a stop. While I keep the pressure on the pedal the whole time slowly increasing to bring the vehicle slower and slower til about 10 ft from my stopping point, I slowly let off a little bit to give me a little more brake play.
While I am doing this the ABS system kicks in and releases the brakes doing the groan groan groan thing it does, damn near hitting whatever is in front of me.

So now I am stuck with my Baby of a truck ;) I love it. They dont make em this big anymore. Could get a new one but dont want to.
She has 208k now and just these minor probs, any suggestions would be great

Thanks

Sounds like maybe the tires are not right! Tires can have problems even when they look right!!

I agree, new tires sometimes come from the factory out of round.  something I would look into.  Good Luck
