I am not very knowledgable about cars. There the disclaimer is out of the way. My 1999 Cav just started this problem out of the blue. At around 35-50 mph it feels like the engine is choking, spuddering. After I get past 50 its fine, before 35 its fine, just between those speeds. The car has 140k, I have had the tranny serviced recently. The only other thing I can think of would that it doesn't run with the A/C on very well, it feels as if the car is wieghed down immensely. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

well any car will feel like its running harder with the a/c on..believe it or not, it takes hp to run an ac compresser...but i would just check ur plugs and wires. My car started doing the same thing then i changed the plugs and wires and it was fine. I just had to get better quality plugs and wires, you might have to too just because we have older cars. I have a 97 cavalier.
