So you prefer to visit sites without ads? What are you doing here?

J.D. Power's main study covers the first 90 days of ownership.

It never ceases to amaze me how I can put hundreds of hours into this research, provide the results for free, and still have some people make up things to complain about.

Well, the last time around was so much fun here...

Anyway, there will be an updated result for the 2007 in a few weeks. I'd like to include additional model years, but more participants are needed.

What I'm doing here is NOT trying to gather unbiased opinions about an automobile that I plan to purchase.

No problem with ad's, just a problem with ad's linking to auto sales sites from a website that is supposedly trying to provide unbiased ratings on vehicles.   And judging from the number of replies that you are receiving here I am not seeing much interest in what you’re doing, if you want to promote your website then go pay for some advertising and quit spamming this forum.

The sites I link to do not favor any particular manufacturers. Whatever car you have or want, they'll be happy to have you. So they're not a potential source of bias.

The level of interest is well above what you seem to think it is, but not as high as I'd like it to be. Nearly 19,000 people with over 23,000 vehicles signed up to participate so far.

A few forums have hosted banners for me. They proved that, for what I'm doing, ads are thoroughly ineffective. They cannot convey enough information about the research.

Updated results in a couple of weeks. The GMT900s are the only Chevrolets among them. Would like to have others.

Excellent participation by ownes of the Lambdas and the Saturn AURA--over 120 responses for each.

For the details, and to help get more Chevrolet models included in the survey:

I agree with ZX1100F1... It looks an awful lot like you are promoting your website for personal gain. Thus why your signature is no longer on the post above and the link you gave is disabled. Please fill out the advertisers form. Also Advertisers are not even allowed to post their advertisements in the general forum, so I politely advise you to stop. I'm gonna investigate this matter further and if I decide that these posts you have made about vehicle reliability are for your personal or your company's gain, every one of them will be deleted and your membership terminated.

For decades many people who prefer to buy domestic cars have complained about Consumer Reports.

So I've been putting a ridiculous number of hours into providing a superior alternative. Membership is free. And anyone who participates gets the results for free.

I've been working closely with a number of forums. They help spread the word about my research, and I help inform others about their forum. I'd be happy to set up something similar with this forum.

I've looked at it and it seems that I can't find where you are getting anything out of this but satisfaction....  I still think it will be advantageous to you to fill out the advertiser's form. Just click the link "advertising" at the bottom of the screen. We offer very inexpensive advertising packages.

Oh and if you work with other forums, be sure to spread the word about our forum!

I've added this forum to the list of forums on my links page. Hopefully that will help send some traffic your way.

On the research, I recently had someone complain that I didn't have many domestic cars in the results. Sorry, but I can only report results on a model when enough owners sign up and participate. And there haven't been enough for most domestic car owners. Not for lack of trying on my part.

Want to help fix this problem? Details on the research here:

Why do you feel the need to completly waste your time with this "survey"?  You're looking through a 1 year window of reliability which proves nothing for long-term reliability.  You made the comment a couple months back that if people weren't so concerned with reliability then ford and gm would be doing better.  What you should say is that if people weren't so easily gullible about their "poor reliability" and that if people would learn to buy american again then gm and ford would be doing better.  High gas prices, Delphi going bankrupt, GMAC going bankrupt, and over 800,000 retirees pulling amazing pension plans is whats hurting gm.  I agree with the other guys, you do need to take your "colossal waste of time" elsewhere.
