thinking about buying an 01 silverado stepside with rear disc brakes. heard there was some trouble with them but I want a second opinion.

Have 122,000 miles on my 01, never had any problems....

Actually the only concern w/ the brakes is not w/ the actual brakes but the parking brake shoes, they freeze up and need to be replaced if not used on a regular basis !! of course there is the poss. of the rotors causing a pulsation due to rust on the rotors and also depending on your preference alot of people are complaining about a low pedal which is a normal condition -- if the truck is solid and priced well, go for it .
