I have a '99 Cavlier with the 2.2L engine. I know my manual says only Cavs with the 2.4L should tow things, but do you think my car would handle a small boat? I don't know the exact weight of the boat, but I could find out if that would help. Its a 16 foot flat bottom aluminum boat with a 25 hp outboard.

It is my honest opinion cars shouldn't have a hitch anywhere near it or on it unless the car itself is being towed.
