Just bought a 96 Chevy Tahoe 1500 4X4. Manufactorer says 10-30wt, but it look as though the previous owner "may" have been using 10-40wt. Mileage on the truck is 160K and to my knowledge, is not burning any oil. Temps in this area are down to 18 degrees in the Winter and 100 degrees in the Summer. I don't do ANY hard driving at all and no off roading. Given the 2 weights of oil above, which would I be better off with?
