Looking for ideas- bought the van at 100K now has 122K. when purchased I installed new cap, rotor, plugs, wires. within 5K miles, the distibutor went bad, so I replaced it. Now I`m getting the same symptoms (random multiple misfires) and the cap is quite corroded for only having 20K on it. Does everuyone have to carry a spare cap and rotor at all times?
GM has a TSB on this saying it gets too much moisture in the cap and causes this? I read the post about the screen and mine does not have screen and the vent hole is open. Thanks for the help.
