the torque steer can be just about eliminated if you turn off the traction control...  I always hit that button to turn it off right after I start the car...

leaving the traction control on makes the torque steer 100x worse - since when one wheel starts spinning, it cuts power to it and puts the power to the other wheel, then when THAT wheel starts spinning, it cuts the power to that wheel and puts it back to the other wheel again,  - back-n-forth, back-n-forth, etc etc...

Completed my city mileage test today on my 2007 LTZ
Average fuel diplay showed 18.5mpg, close to what you are getting.
However my highway at 31.5  is a lot better.

Anyone know what the 3.5's are getting?
Jim

Hi Fellow SS Lovers-I just purchased a 2007 Impala SS and have had it back to the dealer 3 times for tire problems.  The tires are "out of round" at higher speeds and it makes for a thumpy ride and won't allow the sensors to work properly.  Did anyone else have this problem with the stock tires?  I am concerned this will be an ongoing problem as we have been thru 12 tires thus far.  Help and Thanks!

GM should've kept the B-body SS.  The new 07' is garbage.  I'd rather buy a Marauder over that.

Marauder? Ford has not made that car in a while. Why would you want a car that was bad on gas and not fast; not to mention a bad seller a lead weight for Ford thats why they dumped the line so soon. Try another Ford sounds like you deserve one. Good luck
