i was driving home after hauling around some crap in the back of my truck...and the ABS light came on...i was just curious if there is some sorta secret to get the PCM code of what is causing the ABS light to come on...because i would rather not get ripped off by the dealer taking it in...so if there is any secrets kinda like tappin the gas 3 times to reset the oil light that would be very much appreciated.

my 2003 chevy does that every once in a while after hauling a load or trailer. sometimes it happens after i have to hit the brakes suddenly, other times it does it a day or so after i haul something. i plugged it into my computer, but could never get a code for it. i took it to the dealership and they couldn't get anything either. they could only say that it was from hitting the brakes too hard. i haven't had any problems lately, but i also haven't hauled anything.
