The engine has great power in the colorado (not in the heavy hummer). If you can wait the engine will become more powerful.

Yep, all new 3.7 motors are supposed to come out next year I think.

As far as the 3.5 compared to the tried and trusted 4.3 of the older s-series it does have more horsepower but lacks the tourqe that the 4.3 had. Granted it has one less cylinder.

I personally love the colordos. Especially the crewcab 4wd. I think the look really good well except for how the headlights are on the bottom and the turnsignals are on top. But they have nice power for being a 5-cylinder. I got to hear one with exhaust and it sounded really nice.

I think they should have saved the 4.3 for the extreme because i have always wounderd when they would make the extreme faster than the regular

I recently test drove a colorado and it was like a slug. Maybe because I'm use to my 350 but the I5 was not impressive. For 30g's you might spend 5g's more as well buy a full size truck with more room and power. I would rather have a Honda Ridgeline than this POS.

Maybe you should get your facts straight.
The Honda Ridgeline is 0-60 in 8.6 Seconds and the 2007 Chevrolet Colorado 4X4 Crew Cab I5 goes 0-60 in 8.4 seconds.

Anybody that owns a Colorado can attest to the fact that the trucks are deceptively quick.

I would say the I-5 is adequate for the Colorado, I would have rather seen the 4.2 I-6 instead.
