Hello everyone! I just picked up a 92 1500 Tbi 5.7 and have a question about a problem I'm experiencing. The truck will start ok and sounds smooth while running, revs good in park with no excess noise or vibration. When I put it in drive the idle drops and stalls out. When I try to start it again it will not fire and I get some vibration and noise from the drivetrain when it turns over (sounds like it could be coming from the tranny)?? It wont start unless I let it sit for a day or two then try again. Is there any common problems like this that these trucks have? Could the tranny be partially engaged still? Any ideas? Thanks in advance

So far only park. I've only had about 30minutes to play around with it. I will try neutral in a couple days when the weather improves. I thought I would also start with the cheapest things first vacuum leaks, pcv, Maf (I have a spare) ect? Any other cheap starting points?
