2001 Water Pump - 2/7/2007 7:58:39 PM    scotstern   Posts: 2 Joined: 12/30/2006 Status: offline I have a 2002 Silverado 4.8 2wd 1500 extended cab.  I think that the water pump is going as there is a small leak under the carr every morning and the coolent is slowly going down.  Is this a task that an average person can handle or is this a "take it to the dealer for $567 problem?
