I want to put dual exausts on my 2000 Silverado with 6.0 and auto transmission.....I don't want a cat back system because that seems like it defeats the purpose of a dual exaust....can a second cat and muffler and tail pipe be added utilizing the existing cat and tail pipe and muffler just split the system where it comes off the manifolds. Or is there a complete system utilizing 2 cats 2 mufflers 2 tail pipes. I want to get as much power from the engine as possible...

I was wondering what size of engine you have, the stock exhaust on the chevy 6.0 liter is dual exhaust all the way back to the muffler then it is single out. The cheapest way to go is new mufflers and pipes. Also as far as I know no one makes a complete system for a 6.0. I have tried to find it to replace the front two pipes coming off of the exhaust manifolds because the flanges broke and would no longer hold the exhaust in place. I had to force myself to go and buy the two pipes from the dealer, rather expensive fix.
