Traction control with stabilitrak

gofor35off -> Traction control with stabilitrak (1/22/2007 3:53:27 PM)

This is my first post, I searched traction control but did not get any relevant hits.
I have an '04 Suburban with stabilitrak (full-time AWD, no autotrac) with approx 66k kms. For the last couple of months the traction control has been engaging intermittently, but somewhat frequently, when it shouldn't (ie. on dry pavement).
It is at the dealer for the 3rd time. They performed a P0455 reprogramming of the "VSES module" and replaced the steering wheel position sensor the first two visits, neither of which fixed the problem.
Has anyone encountered this before, or know what might be causing it? Very annoying problem.
Thanks to anyone with thoughts or advice.

There have been several threads on stabilitrac in the Tahoe section of this forum.  Try a search there.  Good luck

I was unable to get anything relevent. The posts I came accross have to do with "Service stabilitrak" message. What I am encountering is traction control engaging when it shouldn't.
It would seem to me that a wheel spin or speed sensor is malfunctioning, anyone have any familiarity with this? I have aked the service advisor about this, but they do not seem to acknowledge this as something they can check??
Thanks,

Has your suspension been lowered or lifted from stock?

No, truck is completely stock.

Sorry I cant figure it out.

Post your question in the Tahoe section (There is much more activity over there, plus the suburban and Tahoe are almost identical in every way but length)

If you still dont find an answer, PM zx100f1 (Here is the guru on this forum and can find things noboby else can)

Good Luck
