ok so i have a 89 s10 extended cab 4.3ltr 4x4...and ive been told it has vacume hubs or somthin vacume but anyways one day it did exelent in 4 lo cause it was icy and then the next day it quit workin the front drive line spins but the front diff aint engagin and its pissin me off...i almost got stuck on a gravel road cause there was a little but of mud on it but anyone got any ideas i would be thankfull...i know the cv axles are shot but imma replace them...unless i need to replace my front diff

ahh yes and if anyone that lives in oregon is sellin a strait axle i will take it:)

this tech article should help you out. it shows you how to cheaply get rid of the unreliable vaccume actuator. and install a manual cable.
