i have a 95 chevy with 350 and auto. at idle engine sounds like it has a manifold leak but when you gas it is a really loud ticking, doesnt do it in park or neutral when reved up, only with a load on it. any help would be greatly helpful

you might have a collapsed lifter or a bent pushrod. if your engine has substantial miles on it you might just need your valves adjusted. a loose rocker arm will tick pretty loud. i would probably pull off the valve covers and pull the push rods make sure they arent bent and then re-adjust the rockers. something for the shadetree mechanic but if you only know how to put gas in and change the oil id take it to the pros.
