01ss -> low engine temp/cooling fans run (2/12/2006 12:16:20 PM)

i have an 01 monte carlo ss 3800 v-6 tremp stay low at 140 degrees and fans run constant, had it to shop found bad battery and replaced temp sending unit, cleared battery code and checked fan relays which were ok. after clearing code problem went away now in a month its back same issue, any ideas here as to what i can check or change to fix this issue its cold here an heats a necessity not a option.
