90Lumina3.1 -> 90 Lumina Problem Tonight (1/15/2007 11:39:16 PM)

Hi all, I'm new here so be gentle!! [:D] I have a 90 Lumina 3.1 with 140,000 miles. The problem I had tonight was I was pulling out of a parking lot when I heard a "clunk" from the front end. Felt like car was suddenly in neutral. I let the car coast to a safe stopping place, when I put it in park it made a nasty grinding noise. As I move the gear selector, nothing happens, like the tranny is alway in neutral. I put it in park in just makes that grinding noise. Even in the park position it acts like it's in neutral. I would love to hear ideas!
