When the 08 Tahoe comes out I am going to purchase one(07 has too many problems I cant wait) I know that am probally going to get like an LT3 fully loaded, so it should be around 45k I know I am not going to be able to pay that flat out. My Question is what is the best way to do it? I was going to put like 25k down and finance the rest? I dont think I can put down anymore than that. Do they have a period of 0% financing where I can do a 7 year finance for the low payment(I want a low payment) Just curious to what others have done (DON'T WANT TO LEASE)

If you put down 25K your payment @ 6.5% should be around $400 on a 60 month finance. I would not go for a 7 year loan due to the extra interest. 0% financing for a 08' may be difficult. You may be able to puchase a new late built 07' with that 0% if you wait to the 08's come out. See your options and remember there's always problems with any car manufacturer. Wait and see.

If you own a home, might check out a HELOC. The interest is deductible if you itemize on your taxes.

I agree with myco01975 - I would not go beyond 60 months. Who knows what incentives GM will have this summer, but I doubt they will ever have 0% financing for longer than 5 years.

Well 60 months is not a big deal for me, I dont care how long the payments are for as long as they are like 500 or less (don't want to pay more than like 500 a month) Will the late 07 models have the same problems the current 07 models have? I know its always wise to wait for the second production year when a car is remodeled. When does 0 financing come around? Also I heard that instead of getting a loan I can use a credit card for the monthly payments (I cant get one with like 0 interest to get around the problem)

07 is currently in it's second year production. I don't think the vehicles have a great deal of problems. People will always post about problems, small or big, that they have. Some are even because of things they have done to their vehicles like lowering or adding aftermerket parts that aren't compatible. IMO there are very few problems with even the first year 07. Some are gonna have nightmare stories but that happens with every car.

Yes I agrre and according to General Motors Business Resource Center that is now involved with my Tahoe nightmare there is approximately 5% of vehicles that will have some problem. Some slip through quality control, some are not obvious and will show up later. But that is with almost every manufacturer. Some are better some worse. GM falls in the cattegory worse according to independent researchers.
I wish I did more research befofe I bought my Tahoe :( Good luck with your 08.

I would like to see that study. Do you have a link? I'm always leery of studies until I see who paid for the study, what the sample and the scope were. Sorry you're having trouble.

If you put 25K down on a 50K vehicle with 2nd tier credit which is usually @ 7% you'll be looking at $500 payment for 60 months.
