I have a 2006 silverado ive been told a good way to get some more power out of it was to buy a programmer for it but i dont know which one i should get any advice will be appreciated  ..  i was thinking about trying the hypertch, or the superchips flash pac ????

The programmers really shine with the diesels 100+ HP is not uncommon.  That being said just be aware that some dealers will report your vehicle as being modified beyond the intended design and it MAY void part of your warranty if the dealer states it caused the particular failure.  Just a friendly reminder.

engine2 thanks for the advice , someone once told me that if you reprogram it back to its stock setting that the dealer wouldn't find out , is this true ??? and thanks again

Yes its true that you can reprogram back to stock, but somebrands leave a trail behind.  Check with the manufacturer of the programmer to find out if the one your are intersted in can be removed with no trace left behind.  I know some can be completely removed and leave no trail.  Good Luck

I have the 6.0 and I am running a Hypertech Power Programer 3 and it works like a champ. I bought it used on ebay for $125 I would deffently recommend. But the bigger the motor you have the more increase you will notice.
