Our 02 Silverado is suffering some sort of ignition problem. It will not start and is not a battery problem. We have had the problem only twice in the past but this time the truck will go into gear but the steering wheel will not lock. Any suggestions?

do you mean the steering wheel will not unlock? I had that problem once with my 02'hd and I just had to get pretty rough with it. I did have a similar problem with it not starting, but it was a battery problem. Some goober had put the long bolts through the battery cables into the terminals and had put like 5 washers on there to get it tight. The smaller ones fit you just have to snap them in. I ended up tightening them too tight and had to rip the entire terminal out to get the cable off.....atleast I know I have a nice new battery..lol
