Alright, I'm looking to get a newer truck.  I'm 16, so I can't afford anything too expensive, although my parents are going to help me buy my next truck.  My current truck is a 1995 Ford F150, with the 4.9 straight-6, with a 5-speed.  I'm looking to get an extended cab 2005 Colorado, 2wd, with the 3.5, and a 5-speed.  I'd like to get the Extreme package, if my budget permits.  I'd like to make a sort of street truck out of it, kind of like the Silverado SS's and Lightnings, but on a budget, so there won't be any V8 swap in this one, anytime soon.  I've seen supercharger kits from RKSport, which I may go with down the line, and other things I'd like to do.  How quick are these trucks, specifically one like what I want?  Will it be quicker than my current truck?  Does anyone on here have a truck like this on here?  Have you done any modifications, and how happy are you with the outcome?  How much would this truck normally run me, used?  Any input would be appreciated, and sorry for all of the questions, I would just like to get the best truck I can, for the money, and still get decent fuel economy, performance, and for it to look good, and I probably won't be getting a new truck 'til after I graduate, so I'll have this for a while, so I'd like to be happy with what I get.

Whats wrong with your F150?  That 4.9 straight six is a work horse.

The main reason I want a new truck is so that I have more room, because my truck is a regular cab.  I go on trips quite a bit to ride ATV's, and I don't have enough room for a couple of friends in my truck, and still have room for gear, gas cans, tools, extra tires and wheels, and other things of that nature.

When I was 16 I would have driven a golf cart and been happy.  I understand wanting more room though.  My recommendation is to drive the F150 another 2 years save the extra money and go all out on a truck before you go off to college.  I am just saying that F150 straight 6 has a very good reputation and the Colorado truck bed is going to be smaller than you F150.
