If you're big into securing small items in your vehicle, weapons, cell phones, cameras, iPod, etc. this is a nice little number.  I just picked up one last week.  It's called the Console Vault.  http://www.consolevault.com/ Not the best website in the world, so you're probably better off calling them.  I picked up the very first one for the 07' GM's.  It cost $270 and took me about 90 seconds to install.  It looks nice, custom and pretty much "factory".

Just sharing the love!

I thought about this for the Dodge and figured it might even work better in the cavernous opening we have in the Hoe.  I can't get past the price.  You can pick up a Stack-On box for $30 but this thing is 3 bills??  I know it is custom cut etc but still that's a lot.

Looks good in there.  Nice purchase.  Wished I could free up the cash. I too leave the gun behind sometimes once I'm out with it.  My thoughts exactly...better have a vault.

Ha, ha.  Yeah, I just made it a point to put aside cash for all of the extras on the new truck.  I really wanted this box to secure my weapon as I don't always like to carry.  I also got the Console Vault company to build it for me with the combo lock as opposed to the key.  Definitely a nice purchase.  Thanks.

TMW, very nice!  It would be nice if GM would slap someting similar in, or at least put a lock on the factory console!!

Tahoe07, what is this stack on box?  I really just want someting that installs in the console area to store the items a little more efficient.  Is there something that has dividers?

It took me forever just to find that one manufacturer.  I haven't seen anything else out there like this.  It does sacrifice space that's for sure, and it would be nice for dividers, but like I said to secure my weapon it's something that I had to give up.

biglg, jump on IM when you have a second please.  I'm on right now.

Stack-on makes small or large lock boxes for weapons etc.  I have a small two pistol one at home I got for $30.  It mounts to wall or floor. It's no SAFE that's for sure but it does keep the kids out.  I'm going to shop and look to see what they have that might fit the console.
