2003 malibu suddenly does not start. It happened once before under wanrrantee, but dealer couldn't replicate the problem, and suddenly it worked no problem.

Today the malibu suddenly doesnot start again. I searched the internet and this forum is the first one I found same problems but no solution.

The solution I found is from carcomplaints.com and credit goes to Sarina P. Anaheim, CA, USA

MY actual solution is little different from what she said.

Solution: reset THEFT SYSTEM

Switch the idnition to "on" for about 10 minutes. Once the theft system light goes off, turn it off for 5 seconds, turn the switch to "on" for another 10 minutes, then the theft system light stops blinking. This will reset the THEFT SYSTEM, and malibu can be started with no problem.
