Is there an axle differance between the half tons with 5 lug wheels and the half tons with 6 lug wheels? Are they the same axles with different mounting patterns? Are the splines the same? A buddy of mine is considering converting because he has a really nice set of 6 lug wheels on 33 inch tires, he wants to lift add a locker and use those rims. can he go to the junkyard and get axle shafts with 6 lug ends and swap them in?
