I bought a chevy 350 1978-85. I was told it might have a 383 stroker kit, but im not positive. Im pretty sure I have to measure the crank shaft? But im not sure what part of the crank shaft do i measure and how big should it be? please give me all the info you can

first i suppose do you have the engine apart?? If you do simply measure the stroke. a 350 will have a 3.48 in stroke. If it has a 383 stroker kit it will have a 3.75 inch stroke. Measure from deck height to the top of the piston when its bottomed out . Good luck
