Tommygunz -> RE: 93' BURB WILL NOT START (11/14/2006 5:13:37 PM)

Again, my old 87 comes in handy to other people. I had a similar issue, a few months after changing the fuel pump it would not start. Starting fluid would fire her right up though. It is very likely one or both of two places. First off your injectors come out pretty easy. Take them out have them checked at an auto parts store. My local Napa had a ultrasonic cleaning machine. This machine will check the spray pattern and clean them if they are dirty. Spot number two, under your distributors rotor there is a device that is the actual controller for the injectors. It uses the distributor as a referance pulse for firing the injectors. Mine went bad. when you turn over the motor is there fuel coming out the the injectors? if so its not the controller. If there is no fuel coming out it is either that controller or the fuel pressure regulator right behind the TB, or associated wiring. hope this helps and let me know if you get it fixed with this. If you still have no luck after checking these I will dig deeper.... good luck. ******When you take your TB apart, be careful not to drop the small parts down the intake!!!!! another mistake I made, ahh keep track of those small parts, there are many. ****
