Okay boys and girls....2000 impala...what is the difference between the "Check Engine Light " and the "Service Engine Soon" light??? A few months back I had a "Check Engine Light" which I was successful in using auto tap to diagnose the problem. Now this light "Service Engine Soon" has come on and now is off. No codes when tapping into the car's computer??? Is the "Service Engine Soon" light for like say the car is due for tuneup or some other service incorporated by the dealer??? Book has no mention of this other then to seek dealer assistance. Thanks for any input!
