Hi fellas I'm just kid that picked yp an 82 g20 conversion van. My question is can you fit a 454 big block out c10 truck into the van

mmmmm.....454... *drool* 70 is right about it being a tight fit, you might want to check for a g30 in the boneyard to see if you need a bigger doghouse. It would be a mother of a mover, but make sure the engine is tuned right, the tranny is solid (you may want to also consider changing that as well, depending on the mileage and design of the current tranny) as well as your rear-end gearing.

idax2, if the '82 g20 is a SB truck, u'll have 2 swap the trany, as the bell housings r different between a SB and a BB.

I would go and discuss with a trusted mechanic as to what's involved in the job. You're looking at quite a bit of $$ outlay, and you gotta look at the condition of the 454 before you even attempt it. Engine swaps, esp. in chevy vans, are not easy projects at all. You need to make sure the engine going in is in tip-top shape, to prevent more serious prolems down the road.
